Q: What is the JamBox?
A: JamBox is an Interactive Audio Player program that plays a new type of audio computer file called a Jamlet.



Q: What is a Jamlet?
A: Jamlets are new type of Interactive Audio media file that play on the JamBox player and can use any of the JamBox's unique features. Jamlets are smart media files,they contain one or more audio segments as well as instructions on how and when to play audio or to display web pages in the built-in Web Browser.



Q: What is a Kaleidascopic Jamlet?
A: A Kaleidoscopic Jamlet never plays the same way twice. Songs can be rendered in an endless variety of ways.



Q: What is an Infinite Jamlet?
A: An Infinite Jamlet will play forever if you let it.



Q: What is an Interactive Jamlet?
A: Interactive Jamlets can give you the capability to play along with the music on the keyboard or screen rather than being a passive listener. Other types of user interaction with a Jamlet are possible as well, like alternate verses, choruses or endings, its all up to the Jamlet's creator.



Q: What is a Multimedia Jamlet?
A: Multimedia Jamlets can visually entertain you while you are listening to the audio. The Web Browser is driven by the Jamlet file and can display web pages or images in synchronization with the music or audio program.

A: You can find more Jamlets at Jamlet.com



Q: How Do I Create A Jamlet ?
A: Jamlets are a collection of Wave Audio Files and a VBAudio script to tie it all together Jamlets are created with an Application called Direct Music Producer. More data on creating Jamlets can be found in the Developer section of the Jambox.org website.



Q: Are There Any Consultants That Can Master My Music Into A Jamlet ?
A: Yes please contact seth_snyder@rtz.com.



Q: Can I Distribute Jambox with my Jamlet ?
A: Yes but you must distribute a Licensed version of the JamBox Program you get from us. If your Jamlet is Shareware you can distribute a Shareware version of the JamBox.



Q: How safe is the scripting engine ?
A: Very safe there are no scripting commands that can modify files or Registry entries. 



Q: What is a handler ?
A: A Handler is a section in a VBAudio script that handles a command.

Q: How do I get my sounds to play ?
A: You can command them to play in a VBAudio script handler. 



Q: How do handlers get called ?
A: JamBox calls all script handlers. Some are called when a Jamlet starts up. Others are called when a user clicks on a JamBox Toolbar Button. Still other ones get called when a user hits a key on the keyboard or clicks on a special link in a Jamlets web page.



Q: What are the pre defined entry points ?
A: All the habdlers are documented in the JBDK (JamBox Developers Kit). The JBDK is available in the Developers section of the JamBox.org web site.
